Dr. Lee Willis is the President of the International Association for Orthodontics (IAO) and an IBO Diplomate with over 30 years of experience providing general dentistry and traditional braces, with a special clinical focus on TMD‑related migraines and craniofacial pain. Learning the art of traditional braces has helped Dr. Willis become an artist of General Dentistry, shaping a career built on decades of mentorship, education, and strong professional relationships. He was sworn in as President of the IAO in Orlando, Florida, and also served as the Immediate Past President of the International Board for Orthodontics (IBO) — roles that reflect his long‑standing dedication to advancing orthodontic education and clinical excellence.
Dr. Willis has lectured internationally in Ontario, Canada; Sitges, Spain; and San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a special focus on TMD orthodontics for the treatment of airway issues and dental‑related migraines. His next lectures will be in Manila, and the following year he will be down‑under in Sydney, Australia, continuing his commitment to global education and professional growth.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Willis is known for finishing smiles that look real, natural, and healthy — never artificial or over‑treated. Patients often comment on how clearly he explains what to expect and how smoothly he performs even the most detailed and delicate procedures. Many report feeling nothing at all, and Dr. Willis is well known for completing most treatments without using epinephrine in his numbing solutions — which changes everything about being on the receiving end of dentistry. You can often hear Dr. Willis telling his staff how great they are doing with patient care, creating the supportive, upbeat environment that patients feel the moment they walk in.
Known for his friendly, down‑to‑earth leadership style, Dr. Willis is dedicated to elevating orthodontic education through the IAO Ortho EXPO Experience, the IBO Diplomate pathway, and strong professional relationships with educators worldwide.
When he’s not teaching or working with IAO members, Dr. Willis spends his free time restoring classic Mustangs and Broncos — and can often be found visiting with fellow enthusiasts at historic car meets throughout the Roseburg area. Dr. Willis is also very active with his family and kids, who remain at the center of his life.
