Your TMJ Consult

Things to expect before your appointment:

• The consult fee is $435. This fee will be taken off the cost of treatment.

• Your consultation will take up to 1 ½ hours. Please don’t plan anything directly after your appointment, as your consult may take longer than the allotted time.

• Before we can even see you on the date of your appointment, your TMJ/TMD packet must be filled out. If you paperwork is not done 100% when you arrive, we will need to reschedule you. The reasoning for this is that your paperwork will take you 30-40 minutes. Make sure to take your time when filling this out. Dr. Willis will base part of your diagnosis off of what you say in your packet so make sure to be thorough.If you have any questions feel free to call us any time before your appointment, 541-672-4899

Things to expect during your appointment:

• Diagnostic X-ray Images

  • Panoramic- Shows us a full view all the way around your jaw

  • 2 TMJ Arthrogram Images- 2 Xrays of both left and right temporomandibular joint when your jaw is open and closed.

• • Joint Vibration Analysis/Jaw Tracker

  • This device will allow us to listen and track the movements in your jaw, which include deviations or displaced disks.

• Comprehensive Exam

  • Dr. Willis will review your x-rays and JVA/JT, along with your packet you have filled out before your appointment. He will review with you your symptoms, tell you what your x-rays show, go over your JVA/JT results, and give you aprecise diagnosis. Together we will come up with a plan of action for you and your TMJ/TMD that you will understand and comprehend.

• Treatment Plan

  • You will be given a written plan for your treatment as well as a financial agreement.

  • We will schedule you to come back and start your process to a happy and pain free lifestyle!
